He moved to Dubai in 2012 and successfully built a regional Social Media department at Mindshare. It was during this time he grew attached to the Middle East and in 2015 he took the step to create a digital publishing company of his own, Lovin Dubai. Success quickly followed and Lovin Dubai continues to grow its following across the Emirate.
Hot on the heels of Lovin Dubai’s success, Rich decided to continue the momentum and establish Augustus to support Lovin’s long-term growth and address parallel gaps within the market.
Augustus was launched in In 2016 and the future is bright!
With a passion for politics, writing and the law, it seemed natural to throw a minor in international justice into the mix. From uni, she juggled several jobs, working on radio, television and digital to expand her experience.
It wasn’t until her Mum, who was living in Abu Dhabi at the time, told her to try her hand in the UAE that Caitlyn got on a plane for a three-month trip to the UAE. From there, she never left.
She worked on lifestyle magazines, before finding a job at 7DAYS newspaper.
Caitlyn got involved on all facets of the newspaper’s platforms and got to try all kinds of wild things, from diving in the Atlantis Aquarium to beach polo on horses.
Now she’s editor at Lovin Dubai and Lovin Saudi, and fills her days trying all kinds of new sports, playing with animals and exploring the UAE and its surrounds.
Working with businesses across an array of industries, he is agile in understanding challenges and thrives to create innovative solutions in a personalized fashion.
He also read Law at the University of Sheffield and has over four years of digital marketing experience which collectively developed his client-centric work ethic and has in turn made him the trustworthy ‘New Media’ Sales Manager he is today.
The majority of his experience came from working within the Finance Department for Mindshare Group one of the leading Global Media Agencies out there. Josef was part of the regional head office finance team at Mindshare MENA in Beirut also worked in the operational financial team at Mindshare Dubai office where he met and worked along with Richard. Managing a portfolio of major Global and Regional clients in the Media Industry as well as handling the Agency’s financial reporting operations.
Move forward two years and Lovin Dubai was born; Casey moved to Dubai, keeping up teaching but picking up journalism where she left off, by finding placement as a writer for the newbie website.
A keen interest in current affairs, media, food, social events and a big love for the city made the position a perfect fit. Casey has been part of the huge success and growth of the company.
Sourcing stories, creating content, keeping a keen eye on analytics and being part of the developing landscape of a dynamic young company are just some of the reasons Casey is more than happy to put in the hours for two jobs over one.
A self-proclaimed meme expert, amateur photographer and a lover of cars, series and gaming. If she’s not writing content, she’s either drawing, jamming to her favorite tunes (from Nirvana to Eminem) or enjoying quality time with family and friends.
Yasmine was born and raised in Jordan to a half Palestinian half Swedish father and a Jordanian mother. She studied in London and then returned to Jordan but has lived in Amman, Beirut, Barcelona, Dubai, London and New York. Yasmine has worked in film, photography, fashion and publications and loves music, food, Korean movies and surfing. On weekends you will probably find her behind a boat, wake surfing or wakeboarding by day and enjoys live music by night.
She also enjoys reading medical journals.
Thasneem or feel free to call her Thas if you wish! Thas was born in India but brought up in Qatar. She graduated with a degree in Journalism & Mass Communication from an Indian University in 2013 and has worked with a digital advertising company as an HR & Publication Manager in Qatar for 2 years before moving to Dubai.
Thasneem enjoys reading books, listening to music and watching crime documentaries, horror movies during her spare time. She is also a national level throwball player and enjoys playing badminton as well.
Shereen graduated with a bachelor’s in Journalism and Media at Middlesex University in Dubai. In her spare time, she likes to blog, curate content for brands on social media and attempt yoga poses. Other days, she likes to plan weekend travels to exotic destinations (that mostly end up just in her imagination).
